Privacy Policy

ABØ Studios ("we", "us") operates Ghost at ghostinterview.dev. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we protect it. We are committed to GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California) compliance.

By using Ghost, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Account data (via Puter.js): When you sign in using Puter, we receive your Puter username and optionally your email address. This is handled entirely by Puter's authentication system — we do not store passwords.

Interview session data: Your interview questions and AI-generated answers are stored in Puter's key-value storage (Puter KV), linked to your Puter account. This data belongs to your Puter account namespace.

Usage data: We track daily session counts (stored in Puter KV) to enforce free-tier limits.

Payment data (via Stripe): If you upgrade to Pro, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number, billing address, or any raw payment data. We only receive confirmation of successful payment status.

Analytics (via Vercel): We use Vercel Analytics to understand page views and performance. This collects anonymized, aggregated data and does not use cookies or track individuals.

• To verify your Pro subscription status
• To enforce free-tier session limits
• To restore your history across sessions
• To respond to support requests

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your interview content for training AI models.

Ghost relies on the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Puter.js (puter.com) — AI inference, authentication, data storage
• Stripe (stripe.com) — payment processing and subscription management
• Vercel (vercel.com) — hosting, CDN, and anonymized analytics
• xAI / Grok — AI model accessed via Puter's infrastructure

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these providers.

Your interview history is stored in Puter KV associated with your Puter account. If you delete your Puter account, your data is removed per Puter's data retention policy.

We retain aggregated usage data (session counts) for up to 90 days in Puter KV.

Stripe retains payment records per their data retention requirements.

Ghost does not use tracking cookies. Puter.js may set cookies necessary for authentication and session management on the Puter domain. Vercel Analytics uses privacy-preserving, cookie-free analytics.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of data we hold about you
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data (you can clear history directly in the app)
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format
• Opt-out: California residents may opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell data)
• Non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights

To exercise any of these rights, email abostudio.dev@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Ghost is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We implement reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption in transit. However, no internet service is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of Ghost after updates constitutes acceptance.
